January Bird Walks

Winter Walks in Beebe Woods
12/13/2018

Join Molly Cornell on these winter birding adventures!

Waterfowl Safari

Saturday, January 12*

10 AM to noon

This is an annual birding adventure to see the wintering ducks, mergansers, geese and swans that are feeding and resting in the saltwater inlets that lace the shore of Vineyard Sound. Participants will also be on the lookout for loons, grebes, rafts of sea ducks and any other birds out there.

Directions: Meet at the Falmouth Harbor parking lot, on the east side of the harbor, off the end of Falmouth Heights Road across from the Tides Motel. The group will carpool from there to several birding hot spots, depending on where the water is open. No experience is necessary; beginning birders are always welcome!

Be sure to dress for the weather, as it can be very brisk. Bring water and a snack. a windbreaker and binoculars and/or telescope if you have them. Questions? Call Molly Cornell: 508-274-8843.

(* Rain Date: Sunday, January 13, but only if there is driving rain, sleet or snow on Saturday.)
