Latimer Parcel

About Latimer Parcel

The town purchased this 2.2-acre parcel at the intersection of Routes 28 and 151 from Mary Latimer in 2002 for $10,000. At a time when the town was wrestling with increasing Steamship Authority traffic, the land was being considered for a potential Upper Cape bus stop and overnight parking area for bus travelers. Land Bank funds were used for the purchase.

The parcel provides the northernmost access to the Moraine Trail and is used for active recreation, under jurisdiction of the selectmen.
