About the Dupee Ball Fields
The town carved out a separate parcel of 14 acres for municipal use when it approved purchase of 76 acres in Hatchville from Paul Dupee, Jr. and Diane Adams in 2002. The Land Bank funded the 62 acres of conservation land, and the town paid for the 14 acres to allow latitude in how they might be used.
The Falmouth Recreation Department received Community Preservation Act funds to create ballfields on part of the 14 acres: a Babe Ruth baseball field is on one side and the other field is used for Pop Warner football in the fall and lacrosse in the spring. The land is on Sandwich Road, between Green Briar Road and the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship.
The ballfields have plenty of parking and one trail at the back near the power lines provides access to the trails on the conservation land.
