About Falmouth High School
Address: 874 Gifford St Ext, East Falmouth, MA 02536
One of the largest tracts of open space in town is the land surrounding Falmouth High School. With 92 acres, many of which are wooded, the high school provides residents with open space for recreation during off hours and in the summer on four fields, three baseball diamonds and a batting cage, basketball court, eight tennis courts and a track.
A network of trails used for cross-country training follows old cartways and footpaths. These paths are accessible to the public for running, nature walking, mountain biking or even snowshoeing, and connect easily with large tracts of town conservation land to the south (Long Pond) and west.
All sports fields and courts are open to the public on a first-come first-serve basis, with priority given to sports teams and physical education classes during school and practice hours.
The high school is on Gifford Street Extension, just north of the intersection with Brick Kiln Road. Plenty of parking is available when school is not in session.
