Leonard Fonseca Park

ACCESS: The park is located at the intersection of Carriage Shop Road and Fresh Pond Road in Falmouth, MA. Parking is along the north side of Alexandra Booker Road.

HISTORY & GEOGRAPHY

This town ballfield in East Falmouth is named for Corporal Leonard J. Fonseca, an East Falmouth native who was killed during World War II when his B-24 bomber crashed on the island of Terceira in the Azores in August, 1944. The area was dedicated to the young soldier in 1949.
